This add-on aims to correct the autogen trees in the Dartmoor national park. The AI autogen has misinterpreted all kinds of rocky crags, shadows and patches of heather/bush as full sized trees, leading to a rather unrealistic amount of tree vegetation up on the higer ground of Dartmoor.
Initial release 0.1: The bulk of the tree removal is complete but I'll refine it over time if there are any missed patches. Let me know in the comments if you find big clusters of trees where they shouldn't be, or any patches where I've been over-zealous with my deforestation. I've also added a basic representation of Great Links Tor using stock Asobo assets and a model from the excellent We Love VFR Region 1.
Version 0.2: Haytor and Sharp Tor tree removal.
Future releases: refine the tree fix polygons as needed. Add representations of other Dartmoor Tors if the terrain elevation data doesn't do a good job.
Drop any other suggestions in the comments and I'll consider them, although I'm not a 3D modeller so I can't make any new objects for the sim.

Thanks for this, this was my request from a couple years ago, I'd given up on anyone doing it! The high moorlands look great, appropriately bleak, but the Haytor area is still a forest. I don't know how to do coordinates but if you google map Haytor you'll see the tor and the surrounding hills. In reality they are devoid of almost all trees other than the occasional hawthorne, and the vegetation is just bracken and gorse. In the sim its a forested area so looks rather silly.
There is Yarner Wood to the southeast, which is correctly forested but most of Trembledere down and the hills around Haytor are either completely bare or just have gorse and bracken type foliage.

Thanks - I've been trying to leave a rating for your Yorkshire Moors add-on but the site won't let me - I get a message saying I need to wait at least 15 mins! I've contacted support as it seems to be a general problem with other add-ons I've downloaded too.

Very much needed, thank-you. The whole of Devon & Cornwall is a bit of a mess, especially the coasts... I always have to laugh when I fly down the bit of Devon coast I can see out the window 😀

Yes! As much as I love the tenacity of the trees that somehow cling to life on the Brixham breakwater, I'd find it more realistic if they weren't there.
