Cessna 172 Skyhawk Bush kit

A powerfull member of the short take-off and landing capable Skyhawk family built on a Lycoming 210HP STC :

This is a plane patch over Asobo's Skyhawk and adds a new plane to your hangar (located at the begining : letter C... like Cessna)
This mod respects the Game Content Usage Rules from Microsoft.

Cockpit settings :
You will find two variants to download :

baglu-c172-bush-g1000.zip : to be used with any version of MSFS2020
baglu-c172-bush-classic.zip : only if you have the Classic 172 from premium version
Note with the classic model : some features may not work (the xml files from the original plane are encrypted).
Current known issues :
- fuel selector locked on left side (if you have the bug on the Asobo classic 172 you wil have it here too)

3D model modifications of the original Asobo Skyhawk plane included :

large and stable bush wheels
Sportsman STOL Camber Cuffs on the wings
Increased flaps angle

Flight model modifications included :

more power from a STC 210HP 4 cylinders engine
4 position flaps (0°, 10°, 20° and down to 40°)
enhanced brakes

Liveries included :

Several liveries are included with this plane :
Default livery is a fictional one
Burgondy is inspired by this plane : 172 Taildragger
Green & gold thanks to ANN0V

All dirty liveries have been made by ANN0V

Notes to livery makers :

Registration numbers are split in two in panel.cfg : you will be able to set different colors for the wing and the side reg.
Common parts of the plane have the exact same name as the C172 AS1000 model
New parts have there textures in bush_172_* files (wheels, landing gear...)
Stickers are baked in the model, if you want to replace with yours, edit the file : BUSH172_STICKERS_ALBD.PNG You can also remove the stickers with a transparent texture file.
The front of the wings are the sportsman camber cuff, defined in BUSH172_SPORTSMAN_* files.

EzRyder has made a very nice ALLInOne C172 Template. Don't miss that paint kit.

Also, don't miss the blender multi template pack from AIRPAC1

Flight model :

Flight model is based on reaperS73 work on the C172 STC 210HP STOL G1000 and allows to operate in a STOL mode in bush locations.

About this work:
3D model has been made with blender from the export of Skyhawk G1000 Asobo's original model.
All the external textures and animations had to be redone and match the original definitions.
Bush wheels and legs come from the Asobo c152 model.
A huge thanks to Newktv's developpement series that helped a LOT.
Many thanks to EzRyder who figured it out how to use the classic cockpit MikeFear303 for the classic cockpit xml & systems trick !

Amazing aircraft, I've really enjoyed using the tail dragger on bush trips recently. I do have a question about combining with other mods. I use the PMS50 G530 add on along with the C172 realism addon from MGouge425. Do you know if these can all work concurrently or should I be using your mod seperately? Thanks for the great work!

Perfect! The only issue is that the HDG function is not working, and avionics can come off in the middle of the flight. If you fix it, I will be very happy to continue flying on this beautiful machine!

Super avion avec une excellente stabilité une fois compensé, même lorsqu'on l'utilise sans le pilote automatique, ce qui n'est pas le cas de tous ! Le compensateur n'est pas difficile à régler (j'utilise un Honeycomb Yoke et Trhottle)

Très agréable pour décoller et atterrir d'un petit terrain en herbe grâce à sa puissance et grimper dans les sommets de haute montagne !

En bref, très très bon avion qui donne beaucoup de plaisir.

First of all thank you for this very well done Mod, it is one of the aircraft I use the most.

I like to fly the C172 skyhawk bush classic kit, I have the premium version from MSFS.

I upgraded to the latest version, and I use the GNS 530 from working Title.

The autopilot functions do not work well. it does not follow the heading and does not follow the GPS route either.

I would be very grateful if you could solve these little problems.

Suggestion. The C172 Reimsrocket is a great aircraft, if you could make the classic version I would be grateful.

Are the brakes meant to be this insane? If I so much as looked at the toe brakes on my crosswinds, my head was going through the windshield. I checked the brake scale in the systems.cfg and it was set to 7...the stock 172 has a scale of 0.66. I'm about to test it with the scale dialed back to 1 to see if it's any better.

Loving this plane and is becoming my favorite to fly. Had a question. Does anyone have any recommendations for taking off on shorter strips. It seems to be taking a lot of runway to get her back up and is limiting where I can drop in. It's like the wheel wants to stick on rotation and I'm running a long way down the strip.

Today I flew in a group fly for almost two hours in the wonderful C172 Bush Classic.

Twice during the flight my avionics just turned off, I tried turning the Avionics Master on and off but that did not help. After about 5 minutes without avionics it simply came back on.

All electrical systems checked out and were turned on.

On the second time it happened someone in the group suggested maybe my Alternator was off - but it was not.

However I turned it off and back on and the avionics came back to life.

Any thoughts on this?

EDIT - I have now flown it twice for one hour each after the issues I had and nothing has happened - maybe it was my system or maybe MSFS needed a reload??

Good job and I love the weathering. Can´t judge if the landing bouncy feeling is real or not, but I can imagine that it is. I have used your plane multiple times as my favorite in bush flights with the the MSFS Bush Flight group.

This was my forum post...
"Does anyone know why the Bagolu C172 Classic radios 1 or 2 frequencies seem to be linked?
If I change the NAV 1 frequency, NAV 2 also changes. If I change the COM 1 frequency COM 2 also changes".

This problem does not occur with either the MSFS default C172 Classic or the WB Sim C172.

Yes, like I said on the MSFS forums, I am not sure I can do a thing about this : I import files from asobo classic 172. I don't modify them. As they are encrypted I have no idea of what's going on. That's not the 1st problem, some people can't switch fuel tanks on this variant... That's why I said the classic support will have to end sooner or later for my mods WB172 is a different thing : they wrote everything from scratch.

Thanks for the report, but I don't think I can fix any AP problem : my mod has no code related to that : that's only included from the original files (which are encrypted).

Nevertherless, I'll have a look at it.

As for the Reims rocket, I can't use Asobo's classic model/xml : their encrypted and not authorized for redistribution. Howerver, I may work on a full new gauge cokpit in the future !

One bug was found, don't know if it is related to the encrypted xml in the classic:

when you change the com1 or the nav1, the com2 or nav2 is also changed, the it is impossible to make triangulation with 2 VOR.

This is not happen with the default asobo classic

I am not sure about your 2 versions. I had been using the g1000. I have the premium version. Do I need / should I use the classic? What difference does it make? Is there some advantage to one or the other? Thanks.

Classic is with a variant with gauges cockpit

If you have both planes in the sim and installed both mods, you will be able to fly both variants (g1000/classic) as bush kits

If you have an early livery for the plane and have pink checker side prop, add theses lines in your texture.cfg file for clean liveries :

fallback.1=..\..\Asobo_C172_as1000-bagolu1\texture\

fallback.2=..\..\bagolu-c172-taildragger-g1000\texture.clean\

or for diry liveries :

fallback.2=..\..\bagolu-c172-taildragger-g1000\texture\

For classic variant, this would be for clean :

fallback.2=..\..\bagolu-c172-taildragger-classic\texture.clean\

and for dirty :

fallback.2=..\..\bagolu-c172-taildragger-classic\texture\

Of course, you will have to renumber the following lines (fallback.3, 4...)
