Mays Creek Strip Alaska (MCAK)
The Mays Creek Strip is located near McCarthy in the Wrangle-St. Elias National Park and Preserve of Alaska. There are two public use cabins available on a first come first served basis.
The strip provides access to the area for hunting and fishing as well as recreational gold mining although it is primarily a destination for short getaways. It is a great site to base flightseeing vacations if you are so inclined.
The strip is very long but unmaintained and serves as a road, occasinally.
I hope you enjoy the scenery and I always welcome comments/feedback.
