Also known as Grange Farm or Brickland Farm. This is a small farm strip just to the north-east of Bristol and Filton. I found it during a search of local farm strips and as it isn't in the sim I thought why not have a go at it myself?

Couldn't really find out much about it from searching online apart from mentions about some old planes being restored here years gone past, including a Tiger Moth. Google Earth historical imagery shows that the present day hangar was built around 2005, there were some smaller hangar buildings in the field to the north of the runway before.

The runway's also had some changes as well. Originally it was longer, about 1,800 feet, but the solar farm was buillt around 2014 and the runway was cut short, although they did extend it into the eastern field a bit to try and compensate, but it's only about 1,300 feet long now so it can be a bit tricky to get in and out of depending on what you're flying.

Mamu83's Powerlines and Solar Farms mod did cover the solar farm to the west but it looked kinda silly with panels at various heights etc so I cleared it out with some exclusions and plopped down roughly 10 billion solar panel (very rough and consevative estimate) myself and gave myself a repetitive strain injury in the process.

God knows what airport code to use for this so I just used GBM01.

I've dabbled a little bit with making airfields before, mostly a few very simple strips for the Arrows Across America mod but decided to do a bit of fancy work for this one and as such it requires a few libraries.

LIBRARIES:

ESSENTIAL

Emerald Object Library for the hangar, hedgerows, the Tiger Moth and a bunch of clutter.

Bush & Backcountry Library for fences and more clutter.

JHD LIbrary for the shedload of solar panels.

Windy Things for the windsock

OPTIONAL (these just add a bit of life and aren't essential.)

BeeKay-Pack1 v5.0 mostly for a bunch of sheep I added in a couple of adjacent fields, and a tractor.

Animated Human 3D Models Library adds 3 people dotted about, a couple of dogs, a couple of cats and one seagull. I originally used this library for the sheep but you can't see them until you're basically right on top of them so switched to BeeKay's pack for them whilst keeping the people from Superspuds library.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS:

Filton Airfield is just a short hop away. IRL it's been shut down for over a decade now and is being developed as a new housing estate but it still exists in the sim and OverripePuma has brought it back to life.

GB-0838 Almondsbury, Bristol (NPAS/GWAA heli base) also by OverripePuma, adds the local police and air ambulance chopper base which is quite close to the farm.

Bristol and Gloucestershire Gliding Club and Cotswold Gliding club by PhotosByKev are a short trip to the north-east are quite good and the hills around here are good for some slow and low flying. 

EGYF Avon Lane by PipsPriller, another small airfield close to Bristol that's worth a visit.

Oldbury-on-Severn Airfield my second airfield! It's a short trip to the northwest.

Woolaston Airstrip by third airfield! Just past Oldbury and across the river.

Severn Bridges by bamboodia add the two severn bridges which, despite being some of the longest bridges in the UK, Microsobo decided to ignore in the UK and Ireland World Update. Oh well, this mod does the job qute well.

And I have my eye on a couple other local farm strips so maybe I'll doo them in future.

Faffed about with the ground colouring for the runways and parking.
Changed the animated dude working on the fence to a different dude.
Deleted the water polygon I added to the waterpark to the west of the solar panels.
I think there was something else minor I changed but I didn't write it down and my memory is bad.
