EDAH - Heringsdorf Airport

Airport

Heringsdorf Airport (German: Flughafen Heringsdorf) (IATA: HDF, ICAO: EDAH) is a regional airport located near Garz on the island of Usedom in Germany. It used to be an East German airbase and today features summer leisure routes from cities in Germany and Switzerland as well as general aviation.

The airport takes its name from the nearby municipality of Heringsdorf, located some 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) to the north. The largest town on the island however is Świnoujście in Poland, immediately to the east of the airport.

Heringsdorf Airport features a single small terminal building equipped with check-in facilities and an information desk. The apron features two stands for mid-sized-aircrafts such as the Airbus A319 and several stands for smaller aircraft such as the Cessna 172. By winter 2015, the airport has been equipped with renewed firefighting and security facilities as well as a refurbished check-in area.

Scenery

Main buildings are custom made.
Some of objects are from Asobo default libraries and other free to use resources to enhance scenery depth and immersion.

Aerial images are replaced with newer ones - more accurate and better quality.

Installation

Simply unzip downloaded archive and move files into your community folder. No additional assets are needed.

Thank you very much for this great airport - often I was there for a visit and it is like in reality =) Like BanTier I also got the problem for the missing hard surface on taxiway D. Maybe you have a solution for me as well.

Thank you for this great scenery. I have made EDAH my home base for doing pattern work in the Comanche since I stayed there in real life, enjoing the island a few months ago. Did find everything I remember seeing including the "Roter Baron" cafe at the museum (which was closed when I stayed there). Nice!

Very Nice - wonderful Airport. But could you put the parking aircrafts such the AN-2 more distant from Taxiway C ? I had a crash with an ATR-72 there while rolling to the gate. Thanks a lot.

Thank you for creating this beautiful scenery. But after installing I got a problem:
All approaches to EDAH in flight planner are gone, the STARs are still there.
Deactivating your scenery solves the problem.
Could you help me? Thanks in advance!

Erstmal danke für die tolle Arbeit, sieht wirklich schon gut aus.
Keine Ahnung, ob meine Installtation fehlerhaft ist, oder ob noch am Platz gearbeitet wird. Bei mir ist der komplette Taxiway D nicht befestigt. Ebenso gibt es keine Holdingpoint Markierung an der 28 auf Taxiway C. Das Schild ist da, aber keine Bodenmarkierung. Daher bin ich mir nicht sicher, ob am Platz noch gearbeitet wird oder ob meine Installation nicht geklappt hat.
Als Feedback kann ich noch geben, dass die geparkten GA Flugzeuge ein wenig nah am Taxiway sind, aber nur im "vorderen" Bereich. Ebenso kommt da kurz vor Taxiway F noch ein Zaun recht nah an den Taxiway C ran. Für GA Flieger alles prima, bei größeren Maschin rollt man halt durch (Gott sei Dank keine Collis).
Aber soll trübt das klasse Bild des Platzes in keinster Weise. Nochmals danke für die gute Arbeit.

Sorry for the late reply, sure I can translate. First of all, thanks for your work, I am living on Usedom myself. My problem is, that I am not sure if my installation has a bug or if the scenery is still work in progress. The taxiway D shows no hard surface but gras and on taxiway C are no marks at the holding point for the 28. The sign is there but no markers on the taxiway.
In general the parked airplanes are a little to close to the taxiway C, just a few minutes ago I crashed with my ATR72 due to a collision. Same issue with a fence a little a little down on taxiway C in direction HP 28.
But again very good job, the terminal and runway looks great.

Sure, i will correct that in next update. One thing though - not sure if i'm right about it, but with bigger planes you shouldn't use TWY C. TWY D is perfect for that. For that reason TWY D has taxiway lights on edges, and TWY C hasn't. :) If anyone knows airport more - correct me.

Of course there's no point to compare payware to freeware. But it's very interesting that this payware scenery was just released today, no one knew about it before, and now random guy who probably just joined flightsim.to commented on my scenery (which isn't perfect obviously, i'm aware of that) rating it 2 stars... Nice advertising of that "payware quality" scenery. This kind of behaviour from you as a developer of that payware scenery is big red flag. Never will buy anything from you for that reason :) And if you want to go into details - you have completely wrong taxiway lights on your scenery :) EDIT: Oh, now you changed it to 1 star after my reply. Next time I will remember to not buy anything from Spinoza :) And to be specific - i'm fully aware of what is my scenery lacking, it's just lame from you to advertise your own scenery on my scenery page. As i said - I will remember now to not buy anything from Spinoza.
