| Full airport reconstruction
The airport is now operational with continuing updates
Installing updated versions for EGKK and Best way to clear your cache and get rid of old data indexes.Manual Cache not recommended, best to let fs2020 automatically manage.
- 1) Delete the older version 'gatwick' from community folder
- 2) Start fs2020 and spawn to default Gatwick
- 3) Close Fs2020 and install New version into community folder as 'gatwick'
- 4) Open fs2020
This method will solve the problem of scenery not appearing, or overlapping models
ONLY GATES are serviced by Jetways. Even if you are on a Left side stand, and it looks closer if its a RAMP position the jetway will not move, instead call for steps.
Install Guide
Download zip and open.
Drag or extract from zip into community folder as the folder name 'gatwick' Do not drag a new update into an older gatwick version. It must be deleted and the updated version extracted/dragged into the community folder
I have also included my own GSX profiles and have included in the Zip file.
Only one can be used at any one time, including the fine examples from other GSX profile creators.
I am making aircraft type specific GSX configs. These will be updated with every Gatwick update
The location for profiles on my pc is (windows store version of msfs)
Local Disk C\Users\mkvy(my PC name)\AppData\Roaming\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS
only one .ini must be in there at any one time.. remove any that are there and paste the .ini file, not the folder

When spawning at a position always REPOSITION with GSX so you are in the right config. Only one GSX profile can be used at one time. Take your pick from other profile creators as i'm sure they will be updated and go deeper into setups as there should be no major changes just tweaks.

Absolutely astounding! Short flight from Gatwick to Liverpool. Watching the animated boarding sign displaying flight information while The Gatwick Express shuttle train is wizzing by. Words cannot truly express how good this is. Thank you so much for your dedication and without a doubt, the love put into this little bundle of joy!

Another thing which was great was to actually see the baggage handling being done using a small conveyor belt and a worker loading each bag on by hand. Am I right in assuming this was part of the GSX Profile you provided? I was puzzled by GSX using those massive cargo machines in the past.

Thanks, upgrading my computer new motherboard, cpu etc etc. still stuck with the 980ti though. Im getting outstanding performance with a ryzen 7800x3d even with the 980ti

Good luck with the upgrade! I recently upgraded to i3 13th Gen, very cheap and great performance. Shop around, you can find great deals on GPUs now that the data-mining madness has subsided. I got a RTX 3060Ti for 300€ Works like a charm.

Been using your Gatwick and Shoreham since the beginning, both are great, but, maybe a silly question, how do I get the VDGS system working? I have noolaero installed, done rescan of devices, but no EGKK showing in the devices.cfg of the noolaero folder, only my Heathrow, how should I get it functioning?

yeah its just GSX vdgs , i asked nool systems and sent a model, but have heard nothing sincee. So ive kind of given up woth the Nool vdgs idea now

I would recommend it even if i get Nools VDGS in the future as GSX is the only easy way to get all the ground equipment in the right position, especially the push back tug. I've only dipped my toes into what it can do though

i installed this today and put the gatwick folder in my community folder (i had not previously installed any other versions of this airport) and i just get the default airport with no changes. is there anything you can suggest i do?

are you using addon linker? can sometimes cause problems. Not that addon linker is the problem, sometimes is the windows config thats the problem
try the older version instead, spawn to gatwick. If that works, remove older version, spawn to default. Then put the latest version in again. Also, dont use manually managed cache. Always auto manage

I had this ptoblem as well many times after su 12, the fs2020 link just opening microsoft store. Luckily i iuse imaging software so am able to flash back. Also gaming services causing this problem too. Its now automatic update disabled

I fixed it I uninstalled gatwick and restarted my pc and msfs then loaded in then installed gatwick and now it works

They go into the profile folder, but only if you have gsx, if yiu dont have gsx then no need to do anything with them

I don't understand why I have not rated this since release. Been using this airport for a while. It is probably the best looking freeware airport ever.
Lately, it has more of an FPS drop than other scenery that I use. That includes several hundred gb's of airports etc.

the people on the bridge are about 4kb in total, they are nor real 3D people, just a silhouette mask that's replicated from end to end repeat loop animated to give the appearance of a continuous stream. Its about as much load on the system as an aimless forklift truck wondering around the airfield.
I were to do real 3D people around the airport like alot of airports now, then that would for sure make for a challenge. Jusrt waiting a few more years for everyone to get a 7090ti card
