For SIM UPDATE 10 BETA only! — reminder if you haven't read the title =P
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Working Title has released a new version (0.14.0) to the Marketplace that includes the features seen in the Sim Update and adds compatibility to third-party aircraft. Their update now supersedes this mod in functionality. More information about the update in this forum post:
https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/important-g1000-nxi-beta-note/528828/7
If you have installed the mod and wish to switch back to the Marketplace version, follow the uninstallation steps outlined below.
This mod modifies the aircraft's panel.cfg files to repoint the HTML gauge into using the new WTG1000 panel (aka the new default Working Title's G1000 NXi nav system) instead of the old AS1000 panel (aka the now legacy Asobo's G1000 nav system).
See also my forum post on modifying third-party aircraft to work with Sim Update 10's new G1000 NXi nav system:
Installation: Replace the sws-aircraft-kodiak-wheels directory located where the aircraft package is installed (typically your game installation's Community folder; e.g. Steam version uses C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\Packages\Community) with the supplied directory. When prompted to overwrite files, acknowledge for both panel.cfg files and the modification should be applied. Do not add the folder as a separate directory, especially if you are using an addons manager.
Uninstallation: The package also supplies replacement files, suffixed with _old after the file type, in case you encounter problems and need to revert the mod. Inside the two folders (panel and panel.noregistration) where each panel.CFG file resides, remove the _old suffix and acknowledge to overwrite the file.
This package only supplies the modified files (and replacements) needed for the mod to work. No more files other than what is documented are included. This page will be updated accordingly once SWS disseminates new information about SU10 compatibility or anything else notable happens otherwise.
Works perfectly. Thanks for the info. I did make the mods myself after reading.
