I've been racking my brain on coming up with custom views that work for me and my workflow.
Here are 10 custom views I created - some are outside views - most are inside views.
I tried to be practical.
Here are the custom views and why I set them that way:
alt+0 - PILOT - This is a zoomed out view of the captain's view to reflect most of what a captain would be able to see. In particular, the autopilot CMD buttons are visible, as well as the gear up and gear down. In addition, I LOVE this view because it gives me direct access to the TAXI and Runway Lights without changing views to see them specifically.
alt+1 - REAR LEFT WING (outside view) - I'm always on the lookout when taxiing to make sure I'm not cutting anybody off. This is a really nice way to see what's to the rear and to the left of the aircraft.
alt+2 - CLOSE UP Pilot's Displays - Allows me to get up close to the displays, especially setting altimeter, BARO/RADIO, etc.
alt+3 - REAR RIGHT WING - see REAR LEFT WING descrption
alt+4 - CNTR LINE - I use this view when bringing the aircraft up to the stand/ramp - helps to keep me on the center line
alt+5 - PFD LIGHTS - I use this when flying at night - quick and easy view to get to the lights for the main panel, background, afds flood, outbd du, inbd du, lower du, etc.
alt+6 - TRIM WHEEL - This is a close up view of the trim wheel - Makes it easy to see.
alt+7 - MCP PANEL - Nice closeup view to easily set altitude, speed, course, altitude intervention, speed intervention, Flight Directors, etc.
alt+8 - FLAP GAUGE - An angled view of the FLAPS GAUGE to see easier. Also access to FUEL FLOW reset switch and MFD display.
alt+9 - OUTSIDE HIGH UP ZOOMED OUT - I use this view for pushback. I don't have to actually change to outside, pan around, etc. This makes it really easy.
PLEASE BE SURE TO BACKUP ANY FILE YOU INTEND TO REPLACE - IN THIS CASE - THE cameras.CFG file located in:
Unzip the ZIP file and place the cameras.CFG file inside of: the following directory - I use Microsoft Store version - I'm not sure where the STEAM directory is. This does NOT go in the community folder.
You might also be able to install the cameras.CFG file in the following directories but please back up any existing cameras.CFG files just in case they don't work, OR you want to revert back.
I hope you like these! I really thought through them and wanted "practical" for full imersion and just to make things easier on me.
