WW2 Naval Air Station Midway - circa 1942

This scenery represents the USN NAS Midway, located in the midway atoll before the famous battle of midway in 1942.

Really love this scenery! The *only* reason I knocked off half a star was because this place desperately calls out for a few parking spots so we can start cold and dark instead of on the runway. Other than that, perfection! Please do any and all WWII-era Pacific theater bases that strike your fancy!

Wow, this is wonderful! My thanks and compliments to all involved. I do have some constructive criticism and suggestions, though.

  1. Please replace say 2 of each type off static plane with ramp parking spaces as there don't seem to be any at all. Having 2 adjacent ramp spots in each group would allow you and your wingman to start together in various types of planes.
  2. Please add a water runway for the seaplane base, as well as some ramp parking there, too.
  3. The ships appear VERY light gray to me. They'd look more realistic if darker.
  4. The texture for the static B17s could be tweaked. The star on the fuselage is nearly obliterated by the waist gun window, which doesn't seem to have been the case in real life.

Anyway, again, EXCELLENT work all around. Really love this!

A very thorough treatment of Midway in WWII. It is especially nice to see the outer reefs. But the greatest delight is the variety of WWII aircraft, as well as ships and boats, in a believable setting. I highly recommend this mod!

My only suggestion is to exclude trees and bushes on the reefs, as the halfwit tree AI scatters a few along the fringes.

Absolutely loving this so far. On first loading, there's a couple floating vehicles near the Seaplane base, and there don't seem to be any parking spots to load in without starting on the runway. Not sure yet if that was a simple "first load" bug, but thought it was worth a mention. It'd be epic if there was an aircraft carrier stationed nearby. Love the NAS Key West scenery, loving this. Keep up the great work.

Haven't been there for quite a while ─ must certainly have been before Oceania WU ─ and yesterday when I was there for Lexington carrier ops I was somewhat disappointed. Has anything changed wrt water masks? I then tried the google maps, but it wouldn't make a difference. Maybe my memory is wrong? But actually when I look at your screenshots it's not what how beaches looked yesterday. Any ideas?
