Situated alongside the Merrimack River in the state capital of New Hampshire, Concord Municipal Airport is a public-use general aviation airport located 2 miles east of the central business district of Concord, New Hampshire, publicly owned by the City of Concord. There was once scheduled airline service at the airport on Northeast Airlines, but now nearby Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in Manchester has largely succeeded Concord for most commercial and even some general aviation flights. Concord Aviation Services provides full and self-service 100LL fuel and full-service Jet A fuel. There are long-term tie-down spots for multiple small aircraft on the southern ramp area, and two hangars for year-round aircraft storage. More hangars are planned. The airport is capable of handling aircraft as large as the Boeing 727 and Lockheed Martin C-130, and twice a year, is home to the NASCAR "Air Force", delivering drivers, owners, and sponsers to the New Hampshire International Speedway in nearby Loudon, NH.
Concord Airport is the HQ State command for the New Hampshire Army National Guard, and is home to 5 ANG Units, including the 1159th Medical Company Air Ambulance as well as the NHANG's Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) for helicopters. That facility is currently being renovated so troops can be stationed on the airport grounds for better readiness. The NH State Police Aviation division also has a hangar on site.
Locally there's some cool nearby airports to check out, such as Silver Ranch (KAFN) over by Mt Monadnock; Brookline (NH16), Pepperell (26MA) (a local sky diving location), Keene (KEEN), Skyhaven (KDAW), Hanscom (KBED), the Cape and Islands ( Nantucket (KACK), Provincetown (KPVC), Martha's Vineyard (KMVY and Katama) and more). A really nice flight is from KCON to the other airport I've released on Lake Winnipesaukee, Lakes Region Airport (69NH). It's a 15 to 20 minute flight with some decent geography, especially up in the Lakes Region/White Mountains. B18 Alton Bay on the south end of Lake Winnipesaukee has ice operations in the winter time. For a longer flight, check out KRKD in Rockland on the shore of Maine, home of the Owl's head transportation museum. I used to volunteer there in the summer during their events driving people across the airport to the museum.
Note:
Concord, NH is a photogrammetry city. I noticed after the latest update where I deleted my rolling cache file after the update, I had to fly around the city a couple of times for the city to update. If you remain in the area, it'll keep it's data for subsequent flights if you use the rolling cache. I wish they made that capital building dome more gold. When really flying in the area you can see that dome from a long way away it's so shiny.

v1.2:
Fixed a Hold Short flag (A3), flattened the missing warehouse area south of the airport and tried to force it back (didn't work), added vegatation to the golf course south of the airport. Removed pretty much all of the rest of the awful Photgrammetry vegetation. I tried to change the center windsock to its proper orange on a pole, but, for some reason the default one wouldn't exclude. All of the others did, just not that one. Works nicely with the We Love VFR addon to add the smokestacks that are a huge landmark for KCON.
v1.1:
Did a better job removing the photogrammetry around the airport. Added more fencing to the right of runway 35. Added the antennas to the top of the hill to the left of the approach of runway 30. Touched up the fuel parking spot on the main tarmac in front of Concord Aviation services (someday I'll learn how to create buildings)
v1.0:
I redid the airport because the current MSFS layout is over 5 years old and is missing the taxiway to runway 30, I redid all the taxiway signs as accurately as I could (MSFS doesn't support two-sided taxiway signs, and is missing some nomentclature, like the hold short symbol (on the sign)). I added the runup area on 35, as well as the ILS hold short. I covered up the photogrammetric bushes lining the runways as best I could, as well as removed the trees engulfing the state capital building as well as a nearby cathedral. I used all default buildings and moved the beacon to it's actual location. It also had too many windsocks. I left one of the rogue ones because it's in a beneficial location (on Runway 35). I redid the 35 VASI and 17 PAPI to make them accurate. Moved the fuel station, added the fuel station on the NHANG side of the airport, and implemented a more appropriate Living World Config (you won't find any loaders running around, etc.). I think I added a nearby water tower as well. At some point, I'll add the antennas on the top of the hill in front of Runway 30. I added fencing around the airport, added the compass rose off of taxiway B2. redid the parking more accurately as well as other line painting, labeled the taxiways appropriately, and lots of other little details as well.
Very nice work. I have been to the area many times for motorsports rally's and auto racing events and in and out of the airport a number of time in previous simulators. Your MSFS creation really adds life to it. I will fly to it soon!
