ChatFS (beta) is a free, simple and user-friendly in-game chat application designed exclusively for MSFS pilots.

Installation

Unzip chatfs.zip and place the panel-chatfs folder into your community folder.
After (re)starting MSFS, you should have a new icon in your toolbar to open the ChatFS window.

In this window, you should see a registration form. Create an account to start chatting.

Genius solution! Great job and hope this becomes widely used. Will be great for communicating with other pilots on intentions. Do you plan to support pre-defined responses, similar to how we interact with MSFS ATC, but with other multiplayers instead?

You need to promote this more bruh. Barely anyone using this even with distance set to 11000. Fluid plugin by the way with no effect on the sim's performance or functionality. Good job.

I haven't tried this yet (im in a flight) but people seem to like this a lot and you should totally try to push this as a universal comms for players more casual than IVAO

Thank you very much. Voice would indeed be interesting, but it would require some external program to be running as well. Right now it's not possible for MSFS developers to access the microphone or speakers from within the sim

Suggestion for improvement:
- automatic scrolling
- manual setting of the transparency of the background
- possible division of the different languages
otherwise only 5 stars, hope the users will soon be more

Thanks for the input. Automatic scrolling should actually be already the case. Is it not working for you? A transparency setting is a good idea!

It’s a great idea! But can you imagine true voice communication using radio frequencies and also range. Now we would be talking (pun intended!).
