This package provides buildings and other enhancements for Garberville Airport, ICAO O16, a public airport located 2 miles southwest of Garberville, a town in Humboldt County, California, USA. The airport covers 44 acres and has one runway. Airport weather is available, as well as fuel. This package uses all native Asobo scenery objects for low impact to frame rates.
This is my first scenery project, thanks to all the dedicated YouTubers and folks on the forums who helped ease the learning curve!

Hey I'm a little new to this, how do I install scenery?
Well, I am a little new to installing this kind of stuff, I put it into my community folder it isn't there 😞
It works with flights though, I installed on D drive, Ive installed many airplanes that work but scenery or airports arent there. Either way im really eager to try this airport, I already like how it looks and based off of the current reviews this is certainly gonna be better than LAX (Im into small airports and this one looks amazing)
Anyways if you know or can help please let me know!!

It's unusual that you would have a problem just with scenery addons since they should be placed into the community folder in the same way as other addons here. Just be sure you are unzipping (extracting) the folder from the ZIP file you've downloaded, and copy/paste that into your MSFS Community folder. Don't put the ZIP file there.

Hi Stoopy. Well, it’s great to see O16 finally get some love! I’ve personally been waiting for someone to enhance this airfield since release as there were literally no buildings present in the default version. Nice job.
For several years I lived in a house overlooking the Eel River just across the valley from the airport, and though from my view the runway itself was obscured by trees, I watched innumerable arrivals and departures from the field over the years. It’s a rather tricky approach to either runway, as there is steep terrain surrounding the field on three sides. Mornings often have fog hanging over the valley till mid-day burn-off, complicating early arrivals, and resulting in a handful of accidents over the years that included at least one fatality.
The only anomaly I noticed was that the runway starts are both closer to mid-runway than out on the thresholds. If you do any additional updates, you may want to address that. Otherwise, you’ve done a great job getting the primary assets of the airport fleshed out. And lastly, I’ll second 55tom55’s wish for enhancements to more of the Humboldt County regional GA fields (FOT, OO9, D63, O19, etc). You'll have an enthusiastic subscriber here. Great work for a first release. Thank you so much!

Thanks very much for the positive response and detailed info! I really enjoyed your description of the real airfield and that must have been fantastic to observe the departures and approaches. I haven't been to this airport but lived a bit further south in Willits when I was young and took a few flying lessons out of O28 (which I will also be revamping since there are many incorrect aspects of the stock version) but never got my license. I have started the project files for O09 and KFOT but the real airfields both have Tee hangars which Asobo doesn't provide - I'm looking at making custom hangars with Blender, but since that might be take a while I might just use small, single stock hangars for an initial release of both airfields. I am fervently interested in making improved airfields for the entire area.
Can you provide a little more detail about what you mean by the location of the runway starts? Sorry to be dim but I'm not quite following. If this regards the taxiways or painted lines, I explicitly followed the images on current Bing and Google maps, although I did notice there have been some changes over the years based on other photos I could find (there used to be large "GARBERVILLE" lettering on the apron which isn't there now).
Thank you for the suggestions on other airports and you can be sure I'll be looking at them!

Nice work, especially for a 1st attempt! Keep them coming. A couple more airports in that same area that could use some TLC are Rhonerville (FOT) and Round Valley (O09).

Thanks! And both of those airports are on my top-5 list, as a matter of fact I will be setting up the project files tonight. :)

Nice situation and approach!
But I am missing any airport buildings/hangars

Let's check something not related to the buildings... What does the end of the runway look on the north side (that has "18" painted at the end)? Does it have some angled lines like chevrons? Or does it just come to an end right past the number?
