In 1961, the INDISA Clinic was created; In 1970 it moved to its current location and from 1980 the hospitalization and surgical ward areas began to function, to which were added the maternity and pediatric services. On a permanent basis, its clinical services have been renovated to have the infrastructure, equipment and personnel necessary to care for its patients. One of these main milestones is the expansion of its emergency service and surgical pavilions, carried out between 2001 and 2002.
The following year, the area of medical consultations was strengthened, highlighting the ophthalmology and dentistry centers. 2007 marked the great expansion of INDISA by adding Tower B and the complete renovation of the first building, Tower A. Two years later, the new offices of INDISA Consultas were inaugurated, located in Los Españoles, a few meters from the central facilities.
At the beginning of 2011, the new Tower C was inaugurated, located next to the current Tower B on Carlos Casanueva corner of Santa María Avenue, nine stories high and over 13,000 square meters, which allowed the addition of around 100 new beds, completing thus 360 for the hospitalization of adults and children. In addition, INDISA Clinic is the first private clinic that has a specialized care area for burned patients, led by an expert medical team with vast experience, which has treated more than 140 patients in the last 3 years, a national benchmark in this area. ambit.
The Clinic, in turn, expanded its services in the areas of medical consultations (General Surgery, Traumatology, Gynecology, Neurosurgery, Cardiovascular Medicine Center); it adds new and modern pavilions for surgeries and maternity and increases the attention capacity of the Emergency Service for adults and children. A heliport for quick and easy access for high-risk patients is located at the top of Tower C.
INDISA Clinic today provides care in all medical specialties and sub-specialties that meet the needs of a private health institution that covers highly complex medical services, for which it permanently incorporates the highest technology. Such is the case of the implementation of the electronic clinical record, digitization of radiological examinations and the opening of the first Robotics Center in the country that includes the Da Vinci robot.
