SENNES REFUGE FICTIONAL ITALY LIVP
It was a military airfield. In the period of the Cold War, in Italy, Cessna L-19 Bird Dog and Piper J-3 Cub aircraft were used for the training of landings in the mountains to be able to deploy military forces to the Italian borders. With the arrival of the helicopters, the modus operandi changed and today this type of runways in South Tyrol have been abandoned as pasture or become private runways.
Having no papers or documents of the time, I tried to reconstruct the track adapted to the old grounds and to today's usability.
I thank the pilot friend PIER74 I-PIER for the suggestion to the realization, and the friend Lucio Barelli (https://barellimsfsaddon.com) for the 3D support.
In the zip file you will find the mod to be inserted, after having dezzipped it, in the directory Community, and a flight plan for testing.
An RNAV with two waypoints has also been introduced for fans of autopilot navigation.
The ICAO is a fictitious LIVP.
SENNES RIFUGIO FICTIONAL ITALY LIVP

Nice work. Love the main buildings and the location. Thank you very much.
Looks like even in reality the area of the runway is still in good shape today and could be reactivated.
If I may make a suggestion:
please get rid of the fence. Having a fence that close to the runway is not only unrealistic but dangerous. A sudden crosswind will cause you to hit it with the aircraft. The fence near the end of the runway is much too close as well. If you come in a little low or get a slight downdraft while landing, you will hit it.
Also normally small mountain airstrips don't bother with a perimeter because it's costs a lot of money and can be easily damaged in winter by harsh winds, snow storms or avalanches or would be in the way in case the are is used for skiing. Also a wiremesh fence like that would look really ugly and out of place in an idyllic setting like this 😊
Last not least there is simply no need: the runway is clearly marked and an airfield like that won't have much traffic anyway.
Oh one more thing. Looks like all the smaller buildings behind the Sennes Hütte are mostly a combination of wooden and stone structures. Maybe you can find a few models that are even closer to the real thing. And all in all there are 18 of them, if you want to make it completely realistic. I've sent you a picture in case you don't already have it.
Thanks again!

there will be a new version shortly. you are right about the fence but I was in strong doubt whether to put it or not. surely the houses under the shelter will be arranged as in real life. I was in a hurry to publish it before August. Thank you
