PMDG 737 AAO Scripts & StreamDeck XL & PLUS Profile and VRInsight MCP Combo template

for LORBYs AxisAndOHs (AAO) and its SD Plugin

You need LORBYs AAO and its StreamDeck Plugin to run this StreamDeck profile.

You have to update your Elgato Software to version 6.0 and higher!!!

ATTENTION!
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

When you import SD profiles, make sure to delete the old ones, otherwise you'll get profile copies.
Make sure to always have the latest AAO and AAO StreamDeck plugin versions!
I just create the SD profiles! For any connection issues, SD plugin not working, Buttons show "?" or nothing, no reaction of the SD etc., please contact the developer of AAO! And please read the AAO Manual or the short Troubleshooting PDF
It is - as the title says - just for the StreamDeck XL (!). Please do not ask for a 15 button conversion. This will not happen as this will more than double the amount of development and support for me as I do not have a 15 button SD. Sorry.
Profiles for the AAO MCP Bridge are only tested and working with a VRInsight MCP Combo II (Boeing). Other variants will probably not work
Please ask if you want to use parts of my SD profiles, icons or AAO scripts or whatever! And please ask everytime you start a new project! You have to credit and link me in your description!
If you use my work, you are then not allowed to beg for own donations!

Installation:

Install the SD profile by double clicking at PMDG737.streamDeckProfile
Install the SD PLUS profile by double clicking at PLUS PMDG737.streamDeckProfile

Import the AAO script AxisAndOhsScripts_PMDG737.xml according to the AAO manual

You have to install and enable the Aircraft Automated Script "PMDG_737MSFS_Data" that you will find under AAO Scripts PMDG section.
This PMDG scripts are built in since AAO version 2.30 build 19

Please read the AAO manual for how to install automated scripts
You have to enable special settings for PMDG broadcast, see AAO manual chapter 14 "PMDG Aicraft"

If you do not install the automated scripts, you will get no VS and FLT ALT/LDG ALT displays. Everything else will work.

Installation of the MCP Combo template:

Import the PMDG 737 MCP.tmpl into AOO

You find the 737 display profiles here:
VRInsight MCP Combo II (Boeing) Display profiles (for AAO)

Known Issues:

My MCP Combo has a faulty VORADF2 switch, so I'm unable to assign that switch properly. Please re-assign that specific switch for your MCP ombo yourself.

As always, the AxisAndOhsScripts could be assigned to any other hardware you have. So, this download is not only useful for StreamDecks!

Giving it 5 star because it obviously took a lot of effort and works for a lot of people but I have this problem where instead of using a streamdeck for the macros I'm using a keyboard and when selecting certain scripts such as the fuel lever, whenever I press the macro it resets it to it's default state but never into the on positive. Same thing with packs, it only goes to normal mode when I press the macro and not OFF or High. If someone could help me with this that would be great

Hey Guenseli, Thanks for the awesome scripts! Would you think it is possible when holding a certain key like the heading increase button, that a numeric keypad comes up to enter the heading manually instead of heaving to press the button 359 times to get the desired heading? Would be awesome if you could explain or integrate it!

I've found a bug with the All Panel lights knob and all individual panel lights knobs.

It'll only go to 99 max and won't reach 100.

Other than that this is a perfect profile!

I found a bug. After the A/T ARM switch is turned on, it cannot be turned off. I changed the content through RPN SCRIT EDITOR to solve this problem.

Thank you for your excellent work, it was almost perfect after a week of use. But PMDG_737MSFS_Data I have not been able to find and "You have to enable special settings for PMDG broadcast, see AAO manual chapter 14 "PMDG Aicraft" page 86 "I'm a bit confused by the manual. Is it possible to record a short instructional video? And why is there no switch for standby power on the top panel? Or is it because the 737-800 I am using is different?

So I've been successfully using your excellent SDXL A320 profile, and went to load this one as well to use with the new 737-800, figuring it should for the most part work OK with it. I edited the options.ini file as directed, and I'm getting proper status display on the SDXL when I change a setting with the mouse in the sim, but I can't adjust any of the settings from the SDXL itself. I was finally able to get the FCU rotary control buttons on the SDXL working by applying the 'MCP Combo' template, but nothing else on the FCU (or the rest of the plane) works. Of note, there are no entries for "assigned buttons" for anything besides the MCP Combo stuff, and I can't find a template to apply to put them there, if they should be there.

Full disclosure; I had this same sort of problem with the A320 profile, and eventually got it working somehow, but I apologize, I'm older and don't remember what I did now. If you or anyone here could help, it would surely be appreciated.

Appreciate Your Work as always, However with he latest changelog i am experiencing a minor issue with the Brakes (i know about the new pmdg Update regarding the 2-4 second) with the stream deck I can release the parking brakes yet cannot apply them. all other uses are working correctly, is it soemthing that You could kindly look into if i am doing something wrong then i would rather know. all scripts and products are latest versions for respected hardware and software.

Hello Guenseli. The FLT ALT / LDG ALT numbers always read 0. They are not registering what the actual numbers are.

Technically you can install it, but makes no sense, as it will get completely destroyed.

But you can copy over from an XL to the PLUS.

If you only have a XL you could try to install it and then use AAO StreamDeck editor (AAO Download site) to manage and edit the profile.

(You know there is a PLUS profile already included?)

When you download and install it properly, the icons should come up as they are part of the profile automatically.

please check your installation and connection with AAO also

Thanks for bringing such an outstanding piece of work! Request to add switch, in real life Standby power switch is off in C&D state, if this switch is added to SD will be perfect.

About what macros do you talk?

And I can imagine if you use a keyboard and make other assignments there, you get fast in troubles with default keybindings?

the first thing is, that it is way over my scope what I can do ... and it would be technically not possible to change sth with a long press.

you would need a complete new page .. maybe you can ask the AAO dev about it, I have no clue how to do it, sorry.

And: for FCU knobs controlling, the SD is not optimal. If you find any device with real knobs, you would be more gladly.

What I can try is, that I make a HDG fast function, when you press the button long. No promise, but I will try it

If you have greyed out buttons, no reaction of the StreamDeck, exclamation marks etc, that means you have connections issues between AAO and the StreamDeck.

94% of all support request are due to no proper connections or outdated versions of AAO and/or the AAO SD plugin.

Check ports, check the troubleshooting PDF, contact AAO support.

My Streamdeck profiles work (beside from probably little bugs). If you have such issues, I can't help you, sorry! Support requests can't not solved by me as I'm not the developer of AAO!

just wondering is the "automated data" step outlined above there is reference to it now being integrated so no manual adjustment required?

No, you still have to install the automated scripts (as per manual), otherwise you do not get information for LDG and FLT ALT.

Not all buttons are assigned, especially in the subfolders. I can't say out of the blue if you have then connection issues. Make a comparison with above screenshots to see if there should be a button and what it is showing

Hi. Just bought the StreamDeck XL. Followed your installation instructions, but I am not getting the icons except for the ones on the top row. What am I missing? Appreciate any help.

Maybe you miss to update your StreamDeck software to v 6.0?
