Oceano airport is a cozy little airport in a perfect slice of paradise. Located right next to the Pacific Ocean in the community of Oceano, California, Oceano Airport is the perfect landing spot for your general aircraft. As all of my mod, this small scenery is made from pilot-eyes perspective. I flew there once in real and I'm an amateur scenery developer.
The airport is near the beach, bordered on the north by Pismo State Beach, and on the south by the Pismo Dunes Natural Preserve. The Pacific Ocean coastline is less than a half-mile from the main ramp area.
This mod is made with 99% of MSFS default objects library except for some specific objects like signs and the blue and yellow biplane which is copyrighted by Emannuel Baranger.
Features
- All airport buildings have been replaced: airport office and its pilot lounge, main entry gate and his numerous signs, fuel island, executive hangar, airport beacon, wind cone and segmented circle (WIP ;) )... not to mention the wellknown campground.
- Oh ! The Dr Pepper Vending machine is also there
- Tank for the Oceano Sanitation district have been updated.
- Boeing PT17 Sterman model by Emmanuel BARANGER.
- Custom made airport office and Pilot Lounge
- A lot (I mean a lot) of object are now on the RV storage at threshold runway 29 to mask the weird satellite photo effect. This is experimental. Let me know if it's not too heavy in term of fps and general performance.
- No extra library or depedencies required.
Dependencies
- You need to have World Update II and X (USA) installed. As the main building behind the tank of the Air Attack Base, as well as long hangars on west side, are building from Friday Harbor (KFHR) free scenery from Microsoft/Asobo.
- Starting from version 1.1.4 (5th January 2021), you don't need anymore the "totof-aircraft library" for the Stearman to appeared.

Love you L52. Fly in there (virtually) on a regular bases. I've gone to the airport a few times when eating at Old Juan's.
Any chance of doing KSMX. That's my home airport and the default is decent but I really hate the large control tower, it just isn't realistic for this airport. KSMX only has AAY flying to KLAS a few times a week but the air tankers are based here during the fire season.
Appreciate all your other airports as well. You make VFR flying really enjoyable.

Vincent, I routinely fly into at least one of your sceneries on a weekly basis. I enjoy them all. Thank you for the hard work and the ability to "escape" into the simulation. Living in Central Ca., I'm able to "visit" places I normally wouldn't IRL. Great Work..!

Amazing! Such a small Airfield yet you have managed to upgrade to a better standard, especially the long row of hangers that the default scenery didn't bother to include.

My initial version of Oceano required this library and doesn't need anymore. Obviously, if you have other mods in your Community folder which rely on this library keep it!
